Team Spirit

I feel like talking about team spirit today… haha, out of all topic in this world, why suddenly this? Hmm, bear with me while I get you through the answer k…

So, have you ever been in a team where you are the leader or the main driver perhaps? Like an ‘ayam tambatan’ in a football team, or the main spiker of a volleyball team (tak semestinya captain kan..). Well, imagine that your team is doing so well, and performed more than expected. Working hard to achieve one ultimate goal and sacrificing own sweet time in order to get things done right on time… surely there must be a strong bond that’s keeping the team alive right? I mean, I have been in a situation where I was not in good terms with one of the members before, but was deeply attached to her once we got to work together to win for the team. See how powerful team spirit is?

But that was way back when all team members were mainly girls and the objectives were rather for own satisfaction… now, our goal is much more serious, I mean come on – crazy tight schedule, highly risky procedures, production deferment that can cause one whole Malaysia short of gas supply? Hoho… you get what I mean right? So, imagine the bond that’s binding the team now… I would be worried if it’s not what it’s like right now….

But… as you might have guessed, I am now left with such little time to spend with hubby and family… though quality supersedes quantity in most cases, the closeness between the team and the work flirt that’s inevitable leaves him with much to worry… and I do understand this, especially if it were to happen to me. Nonetheless, I can only assure him that this is not permanent… once the project is over (please pray that it’ll be successful btw), the bond shall be loosen, as will the team spirit… just like what happens almost all the time… what is truly permanent is the love and trust that we have all these years that we’ve been together… quoting Bella – I LOVE YOU MORE… no wait, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH MORE…. But I need the team spirit to get going, so please bear with me for a little while ………..
